As a prizewinner of several (inter)national competitions, Sharon Niessen is developing a successful career as a pianist. She performed throughout Europe, i.e. Belgium, Switzerland and Czech Republic. She also gave a recital in Carnegie Hall New York.
Besides playing solo concerts, Sharon also performs in chamber music ensembles, like her violin-piano duo with violinist Jeanine Melis and piano trio with Anna Britala (violin) and Camillo Cabassi (cello). She also played as a soloist with orchestras like the YouthOrchestra of the Netherlands, Helikon Orchestra (now Symphony Orchestra Eindhoven) and the Dutch Promenade Orchestra. She worked with conductors Jurjen Hempel, Kian Pin Hiu, Sander Teepen and Jules van Hessen.
